Our gelding seems to have a fluidy nob on the point of his shoulder.
It felt fluid filled. He did not seem lame, but seemed sensitive when I felt it.
It did not look as though he got kicked, but maybe in the field rolled on a rock?
He is an X race horse and has an old knee injury on the same side.
I hope this is not related. What do you think? The write up is very helpful and
I will look closely at it tomorrow again. Thanks.

Can I send you a picture of my filly's hematoma and see how the size compares to what your horse had. I don't know what to do. she lives outside in a runin shed that is quite dirty and I'm afraid of infection if it is drained,. but it hasn't gone down in over 2 weeks.

What an excellent quote. And so true.

I often forget this when I'm bringing on a younger horse and I recently had to take a few steps back with a novice horse I'm riding and he's a much happier horse. We'll get to the more difficult movements when he's ready - he wasn't up to now and all we were achieving was a fight into the correct position.

As von Ziegner says, this had nothing in common with classical dressage.
